Hello Friends,

One of the functions of each reunion is to vote and determine the time and location of the next reunion.

All of those folks at the St. Louis function last week have voted for:

2009 Fall Reunion
New Orleans
October 8th-10th, 2009

Of course - More details to follow ;)

Yes, it is. I love Nawlins!!!!! Beignets and cafe au lait in the French Quarter, lots of little antique stores, museums, etc. I think there's even an Ann Rice (is that her name? the vampire books writer) tour you can go on.

Have you ever tried +Community coffee". It's been along time for me, but I remember it with good memories.

Community coffee is WONDERFUL! Used to OD on Community coffee when I'd go to Louisiana -- I'd hit grocery stores and buy every type of Community coffee product, even the canned iced tea. Then it moved up into North Texas. So now my search on Louisiana trips is for Barq's root beer and Tabasco brand chili makings.

Sadly DW and I will not be able to attend ... we love Community coffee and Earline sent us a lovely gift pack after last years fall reunion, it did not last long:)

Of course! You choose to do the reunion in a place relatively close to me (well, close enough to drive, anyway) and I won't be able to attend. Unless I can figure out travel with two tiny babies! LOL

That's no excuse Niki! By October, they'll be practically grown! :D

It is close, and I can't use teaching as an excuse anymore, so maybe I'll get there. I haven't been to NO in years and really didn't like it much then. I thought it was dirty and Bourbon Street was disgusting. I'm not a gambler so the casino boats weren't a draw for me. I'll admit that we didn't get far from our hotel near the Superdome as it was for work. The food and drinks were delicious.

Anyway, all negativity aside, I'm considering it!

Coffee place sounds great. Hopefully they can mix me up a nice Chai Tea Latte blend. What an oxymoron.:D

Marsha, point me in the direction of those chili fixings!

Lisa, hope you make it. Would be nice to see you. My calculation, it's been 10
years!

I am not too far away and if I can talk one of my children into going along to drive, I will be there, Lord willin. New Orleans is our Paris of the U.S. So much to do, so much to see. We rode around in one of those buggies - great fun. everything was so old and beautiful. Cemeteries above ground was very interesting. There was a ship at the dock that you could go out on. (sailing vessel of some sort) I wonder how much is still there after Katrina. I think downtown was not as wounded as the rest of Nawleens. Would love to be there to meet more of us.

Hi Kim,

I plan on it. As well as Hank, Michelle, Mary, Sherry, Janie. It's still early, I am sure there will be many more as plans form!

Regrets..

Regrets..

So sorry but I won't be able to attend the next reunion in New Orleans either. Vacation already set and planned. We will be in Albuquerque for 10 days.

Hensylee said she would try to be there and Marie (Earline) too.
Sorry you can't make it, Christina, but I'm sure the Balloon festival will be great.
