It's been almost 9 weeks since the AVR surgery and been recovery nicely. Have some irregular heart beats, unstable blood pressure, headaches and short term memory loss. Started drinking a few glasses of wine and had chest pains on the left side during the past week. Not sure what is causing...

As you can see from the atch pic life is always good in the islands. I hope to return to this status very soon as I feel better everyday. Had echo on Jun 2 and the doctor said that my pericardial fluids have returned to normal levels :)...also no leaks in the new valve and all systems are go...

Aloha fellow valve replacement survivees! I am a 55 yr old Asian male from Maui in excellent health who had an AVR on May 6. My symptoms were syncope followed by an echocardiogram and angiogram which detected a congenital bicuspid aortic valve, aortic insufficiency, severe stenosis .69 area...
