I had an aneurysm and a severely leaking quadricuspid aortic valve repaired about 4 years ago. At the time the surgeon at Mayo said he had no idea how long the repair would last. But maybe it would last 3-5 years and if I was lucky 7 years or so. But it might fail sooner. He pretty much hedged...
