My cousin just had OHS for a mitral valve repair. He says you cannot have any type of surgery other then open heart since its the mitral valve. Can anyone tell me if this is true. I have also had two drs. tell me different things. One says you can the other you can't. I am confused.

I have panic attacks but not anything as bad as you describe. I did think I was having a heart attack the first time and went to the hospital. I would have it checked out to be sure. Good luck to you. Bobbie
