Anyone experience occasional palpitations or premature ventricular contractions?

I have had this exact same experience since my avr and aneurysm repair in June 2022. Caused some crazy cardiac anxiety so now I’m on 5mg of Lexapro (anxiety med) and they still happen but I don’t worry about them as much.

    Dosing for tooth removal

No. you aren’t understanding this. I’m not the original poster. I’m not having a dental procedure. I’m having an endoscopy. My cardiologist is taking me off warfarin 2 days prior and 2 days after. I will be on lovenox for 5 days and then back on warfarin

    Dosing for tooth removal

Yes. Will be giving myself lovenox shots for 48 hours post procedure then back on the warfarin!

    Dosing for tooth removal

I assume to let whatever possible damage that may be done heal? But I didn’t ask. I’ll just give myself the shots in the belly for 5 days and then start back.

    Dosing for tooth removal

I am having an endoscopy next week and my cardiologist has me stopping my warfarin 2 days prior and not starting back until 2 days after. He also has me bridging with lovenox while I’m off the warfarin. I have a history of clots and had a mild stroke last year so I will bridge with lovenox...

    On-X and Lower INR Protocol

My On-X is loud. The ticking never stops and is extremely loud. Especially at lower heart rate. Is everyone with an On-X supplementing warfarin with aspirin? After my stroke and possible 2nd clot, my cardiologist raised my INR to 3-3.5 and said aspirin was no longer necessary. I see him...

    Red light therapy and INR?

I do 25-30 minutes of red light a day. I think it’s more of a placebo than anything. But I have cheaper, knock-off lamps. I know a lot of people that use CBD cream for pain like arthritis. May be worth a try.

Wow. That was not the information I was given. That blows me away. How could the FDA approve that? Big pharma always looking out for us!

Thank you so much for the support and encouragement. My valve was deemed congenital bicuspid though. I just never had any issues and never knew it.

I agree. The 1.5-2 is probably not safe. Also, when I chose the On-X there was a trial going on with Eliquis that looked hopeful. My surgeon said it was almost 3/4’s through and typically if a trial made it that far it was gonna pass. I was hoping to be able to use Eliquis as opposed to Warfarin...

I have never had any symptoms of any kind of health issues. I have an annual physical religiously. Had to pass a physical to join the military. No heart murmur has ever been detected. I know what all the literature says about aneurysm development and I appreciate you trying to reason with me and...

I’m not a political person and understand the sensitivity of this matter. I respect everyone’s opinion and signed my name to defend this country 23 years ago so everyone has the right to have that opinion. With that said, I have been an athlete and obsessed with fitness my entire life. I...

41m, AVR, Aneurysm Graft, new to site!

i had a couple episodes in the weeks leading up to my stroke where I was confused and kinda felt like I was in a dream. Looking back they were probably TIA’s or at least precursors to the stroke. But there were only a couple and lasted maybe a couple minutes. I attributed it to my body still...

Original range was 1.5-2, which was why I chose the On-X. I wanted the lowest INR possible. After the stroke they bumped me to 2-3 and after the possible 2nd clot in the fall they bumped me to 3-3.5. I’m hoping to eventually get moved back down to at least 2-3. From the trials I’ve read with as...

I don’t want to be there now after seeing how a service member can be treated.

So, here’s the most deflating part of my whole journey… I am a 23 year military member. I am in the Air National Guard but have been on a Title 10 active duty tour since 2020 and all this has happened while on active duty. I just found out this week the military denied my Line of Duty...

    5 months post-surgery -- thumping heart beat

Almost 2 years post-op and still have all that you described. Heart beats so hard at times u can see both sides of my neck bulging. No worries from my cardiologist or surgeon.
