    COVID

Yesterday CVS rejected a Moderna booster or third shot arguing I needed a doctor letter stating I was compromised as required by the CDC. My 2nd Modena shot was about 6 months ago (3/12/21). So it depends on who is working the counter. I had my 2nd AVR with root expansion and valve size increase...

16 years with my bovine valve

Congratulations, Duffey - I also have a bovine valve which is 4 months shy of 16 but I won’t get there as I’m up for replacement in 2 weeks. Perhaps another bovine with root expansion or a stentless as it needs to be upsized to get a TAVR down the road. Best wishes you make it to 20 years. Bob

Tissue Valvers. How Old is Yours?

On, Off and now On, I started taking D3 plus K2 mk4 mk7 after I read a K2/calcium book that claimed it put calcium in bones and removed it from soft tissue. I believe it reduced my regurgitation due to more flexible leaflets. But no professional has told me that, so it may be wishful thinking...

Tissue Valvers. How Old is Yours?

My 21mm Edwards Perimount Magna 3000TFX is 15.3 years. I take vitamin D3 and K2 Mk7 and Mk4 from Inovixlabs which may slow down calicification of leaflets. No symptoms yet though cannot do windsurfing after 2005 AVR because valve was too small.
