Low INR despite increasing dose of Acenocoumarol

I would be happy to modify the dose but just want to be sure there is no other reason / sign behind this. And the dosage sounds low as it is acenocoumarol and not warfarin. Equivalent dosage in warfarin would be somewhere between 5-6mg.

Low INR despite increasing dose of Acenocoumarol

I had some idea about that. Since, it has been more than a year since my surgery so shouldn't my dosage now be more stable? This is what confused me and led me to post here. I have been steadily increasing my dosage for the last 1 month, expecting it to impact my INR as desired (I have gone up...

Forgot to ask, what did your doctor diagnose this pain as?

On and off pain in left arm since the onset of winters

I do hope that it is cold weather related only and nothing else. More than pain it is the restriction of my arm movement and disturbance in sleep that is bothering me. Thanks for pointing this out. Will keep in mind and check the ingredients. More than INR interaction, I would be worried about...

On and off pain in left arm since the onset of winters

First, best wishes to everyone and their loved ones for a happy, healthy and prosperous new year ahead! Now, down to business. I got my MVR surgery done 9 months ago. Since, the onset of winters I have been experiencing on and off pain in left arm, with a varying intensity from upper arm to...

    Any CVA/stroke survivors?

This was my first heart related incidence. The cause was that I had a rheumatic heart disease which was not known to me prior to this. So, I was put on AC after this only. Shockingly, the doctor did not suggest annual cardiac check ups (only suggested AC therapy with monthly INR monitoring) and...

    Any CVA/stroke survivors?

Lucky you could drive back safely. Shouldn't have taken that chance. For me, my first symptom was that I fainted at a gathering in the neighborhood. Did not realise what was happening. I was brought home and I slept, when I woke up my face on the left side was drooping - couldn't talk...

    Any CVA/stroke survivors?

Aches and pains in the CVA affected regions? is muscle spasm in winter normal?

    Any CVA/stroke survivors?

I am not sure if this is the right platform to discuss about post CVA/stroke related issues. But I was curious if there were any CVA survivors among us (people having undergone valve replacement). I suffered a stroke back in 2004, left me paralysed on the left side. I recovered fully from the...

the futility (and pointlessness) of worrying about diet WRT INR

I know, I intend to switch to warfarin shortly as I was warfarin before my surgery. Only God and Pharmaceutical commercials know why my surgeon put me on Acitrom instead of warfarin. I have been self moderating my dosage on days I eat greens which have higher content of vitamin k. For example...

the futility (and pointlessness) of worrying about diet WRT INR

I read your posts and I am inspired to include every leaf in my diet. I have a peculiar case here, I am on acenocoumarol (Acitrom) which has a much shorter half life (8 hours) than warfarin (40 hours). I was just curious as per your experience, how long after eating spinach does INR starts...

Seems like you are well versed with India. Let me know when you are here again. Anyway, pellicle and Agian, I think we should continue our discussion on Indian food and visiting here separately. Let's not spam this post which was meant for serious discussion :-)
