4 years ago this week I had my mitral valve repaired. Recovery was suprisingly quick and easy. However, mentally I have never really felt quite the same since. A bit more generalized anxiety, a bit more depression but mostly just feeling sorta off if that makes any sense. Anyone else...

Just had another echocardiogram and all is well. When did you feel like this whole event was in the past? I have no idea when I will even see my cardio guy again. Is it all over?

Five months out and I've had this annoying dry cough on and off for a couple months now. My doctor didn't seem too concerned when I saw him last month. I see him in two weeks and will bring it up again. Ideas? Anyone experienced this?

For those of you who like me live some place with nine months of winter, what was the first one like after your surgery. I'm four months out and it's getting cold again and am wondering how it will effect me. Thanks

Forgot to post this last week. Three months post valve repair and finally feeling like it did earlier this year. Still have the odd bad day but overall doing great! Thanks for all your info and support!
