    For those of you who have had surgery, how long were you on the ventilator?

    As above, eyes open tube in, blinked and tube out. Well at least that's how fast the time went while your still under and very sleepy. I have to add, that for me there was NEVER any pain or any discomfort was dealt with immediately when in ICU and very swiftly once out.

    I haven't purposefully walked in the last week, but am walking more and more, I'm doing about 4 miles a day but not in one hit. I'll give one a go tonight and see how we go. (walking being free it would be a great answer)

    High heart rate after surgery? Worried . . .

    How long before I can drive my car ?

    I started driving at week 4 (a week ago) everything was fine, changing gear was a little tough e.g 4th to 2nd and 4th to 5th gear. But after a few days the chest mucsels came back to life and all is fine now.
