    Upcoming annual.

The trouble with anxiety is that once it takes a hold there is no rationalising the situation. I have found an approach that works for me but everyone of course is different. I am happy to chat by DM or email. Phone is a bit tricky as I am away teaching for much of the coming month. Moving...

    Upcoming annual.

I don't know if you run a business, but (assuming you do) its being busy with photography that has seen me only do it as a business once and for a year ... I would hate to turn what I love into a grind...

    Upcoming annual.

thanks Pellicle - those words resonate. Learning about yourself. Life is full of risk. I take a risk when getting on a plane, crossing the road etc. And it's not as if the alternative is immortality. It's taken me a long time to reach this philosophical state of affairs. If three experts are...

    Upcoming annual.

Hi malteser - our situations are quite similar. My measurements vary between 46mm and 47mm. I see Prof Pepper in London who overseas PEARS. I have also communicated with Tal Goldsworthy who agreed with Prof Pepper's assessment. The Prof's view is that as I have no other issues (regurgitation...

aortic aneurysm repair and stroke prevention?

it could convincingly be argued that everything has an element of risk. We read about people getting killed at the wheel of a car with alarming frequency, yet we continue to drive ourselves around without getting in too much of a panic. I, too, felt a cold stab of fear when I heard about Bill...

ExoVasc® Personalised External Aortic Root Support (PEARS) - Question

I am in a similar position to themalteser - have met with the delightful Prof Pepper a couple of times and also spoken with Tal Goldsworthy - also charming and extremely helpful. I am pretty sure that when my time comes, this is the way I will go

    Unexpected :)

Just a thought should such exist for your fruit machine :-) Ooh. Contentious. Well it's an Apple so obviously it has a heart rate tracker (taken from wrist). It has a nice designer logo with it too. And I can go back a month with graphs and coloured pie charts and everything. Easy target...

    Unexpected :)

Thanks chaps - I'll keep on keeping on then. I think the bug has probably forced my heart to work a bit harder during exercise which in turn has resulted in more PVC's. Just managed to shift a stubborn ten pounds and boy does it give you energy! Been feeling better than I have for several years...

    Unexpected :)

I've been laid low with a nasty chest thing for about two weeks; one of the consequences has been an increase in the PVC's/PAC's I suffer with from time to time. They suddenly started to become very troublesome and always when I was active. Decided to have a chat with the NHS hotline two...

Average age of death in "In Loving Memory" section

Although I post little, I lurk and read and this post has stayed in my mind. I have just spent half a day at A&E for the second time in 10 days having ongoing palpitations and a feeling that my heart is labouring investigated. Nothing has been found and I have been dispatched with the...

Average age of death in "In Loving Memory" section

so, theres a little of where I'm living now .. my new home for now. I've been on a bit of a kick in post processing stuff to 1) augment the features 2) fit the tonal range the eye sees onto a screen 3) diminish but not deny the existence of modernity 4) attempt an old look ... so I can...

    Update.

Hi Malteser - yes, I'm ok some days. Some days less ok. I mean not a jibbering idiot but nevertheless more anxious than I would be without this condition. I now see the delightfully named Professor Pepper at Royal Brompton. He has helped pioneer the PEARs procedure - which sort of supports the...
