Stelzer 443
Hi Chris,
Paul told me he was up to 508. I'm #443. I seldom come onto this page nowadays. I'm out there living like a regular person with no problems. My Echos are good both pulmonary and aortic and I put my heart through a lot more than most.
I attached some photos...

Hey Scottie,
My Cardiologist is Ralph Stewart at Greenlane. Top bloke; he breaks all the rules for his patients. I've been with him for 15 years. I had the Ross procedure last year. Peter Raudkivi is the best Ross surgeon in NZ.
My Cardiologist is from New Zealand where the healthcare system is much less reliant on private sector. My Cardiologist recommend a St Judes but he sent me to a surgeon in Auckland that recommended the Ross Procedure. I had the choice to wait and have the surgery sceduled in the Public system...
Hey Mike,
I never heard of Cardiac Rehab until I read something here about a month after surgery. The surgeon gave me a 120 max for 3 months. That was easy to get to even on beta blockers. For the next 3 months I went to 150bpm.
I always stayed in that zone.
I wore my heart rate monitor all...
I managed to win the local Time Trial here, 10km with a 43 KPH average. Not too shabby 7 months out from surgery. I'm weaker but getting there. knock off another minute and I'm back on form.
Biggest week since surgery.

Bit low on miles this week. I moved my motorbike South so I can continue my trek across the US in my spare time. Too cold up north.

I know exactly what your saying Jack. Having the surgery takes the instinct to push the body hard. The racing time is a function of training intensity, if you don't push your body hard in training you'll never achieve the race results.
Or is it just too much ice cream.
Wishing you well.
My first Cardio that diagnosed my condition was from India. I liked him a lot, he was a great Cardiologist. The advertisements on BBC for surgery in India are exactly how you describe. A trip to the beach and a bit of surgery while you're there.
257 miles for me this week.
