Two down and many more to go!

Best of luck to you but you'll do just fine. The good news is after you get our date most people (including myself) feel relieved. All you have to do is show up with a good attitude and they'll take care of the rest.

Greetings fellow valvites! First off I’m slightly ashamed of being absent from this forum after a very successful recovery, but at the same time I’m out in the world enjoying all the life and adventure I can find my way into. Two years ago about this time I was having a lot of trouble sleeping...

Surgery duration and average time on the Pump for a straight AVR?

Don't quote me on this because I was of course out, but for my surgery I believe the duration was 5 hours and the bypass machine was 2 1/2 or 3 hours of it. I know i'm beating a dead horse with this message but be aware that common side affects of the bypass machine are night sweats, hot/cold...

    My AVR Experience

Congrats on your success Stopper. I am 3 weeks post op today and I can tell you that as time goes on and as more fluid regulates in the pericardium it will get quieter. I'm sure some of this is also your mind getting used to it being a normal noise. I can still hear mine but I have to listen...

My Post Op Thread and thanks!

This forum and it's members proved to be a wealth of knowledge, reassurance, and support while I was in the waiting room, so this is my small way of giving back since I am now on the other side. Many thanks to TheGymGuy and Dick0236 for inspiration and support. FYI - I chose an ON-X valve and...
