    3 potential choices

I have a friend that got a ball-in-cage Aortic Valve 42 years ago, she never had a problem, the noise yes you can hear; St Jude is a very good Valve nothing wrong with it, OnX is an upgrade of the St Jude, " facts not opinion, no polemics please" , OnX is the ONLY mech valve that opens 90...

    On-X and Lower INR Protocol

Have an OnX since 2015, started with the 1.5 - 2.0 + asa which works just fine, except that you get worried about the 1.5 part, I did that program for 1.5 years all good and fine , all doctors happy, so yes, it is not BS, it works contrary to some people's opinion, and that is fine; not...

    Natural Anti Coagulants?

I would not worry, if one thinks that the hypothetical apocalypse will take place before November, all is possible with people that talk to the dead, how to build a bunker for 7 years would be the main concern, or secure a ticket to the moon or mars with Elon and ride along with him,

    Marijuana and Blood Thinners/Mechanical Valve

I had no need thus far for these products, but if you want to try, just cross the northern border and voila, anywhere in Canada, on any street/town you will find at least 3 stores that sale those products, Gov making lots of tax $ on their business as they control who and what and where; So...

Inspiris Resilia vs On-x, can't decide

The Tissue vs Mech dilema, boils down to the fact of you would like to stay in hospitals and plan to be there 2 or 3 times, and hope all goes well on the 2nd and 3rd time; and "hope" the TAVI "could" be done, is not a 100% for sure; hope that you will never get AFIB or anything else that will...

Inspiris Resilia vs On-x, can't decide

INR Ranges for AVR: I have an OnX AV since 2015, and for the first year i followed the 1-5-2 range , but the problem is Not that it does NOT work, the problem , 'for me' is the fact that 1- asa + warfaring will produce bleeding events with long term usage (n it happened to me after 5 years ...

    Questions about treatment options

My choice would be to be born with a tricuspid AV :) , but if that did not happen and i got a suffocating bicuspid one that did not allow me to walk up a hill , then i would choose again the one that would keep me from seen again my nice Surgeon, who told me, "the one thing you dont want to do...

    Yet Another Colonoscopy Question

I had thus far no need for the process, but Pellicle is very good at making important articles, the attached file is just something i got from one of the doctors in the family, just in case, could be of interest. just a thought.

    More lancet talk (Coaguchek Sofclix)

These are the ones i get; I also follow Pellicle's way attaching a dental floss, but important to Notice, "yesterday-mar-15-2024" my time , i talked to COGAGUCHECK support for another issue, they asked me how I take the test, she told me not to attach the dental floss but rather "STAND" so heart...

This in "one 1" of many interesting articles comparing mechs and tissues and who lives longer at the end. Could be of interest for those facing decision making, just a thought....

mechanical or tissue valve and an active lifestyle?

For me it was just a practical decision, one back to surgery in high 70s, the other get it done once and take a pill, so i choose Not to plan going again for surgery and dealing with the degradation of the tissue one; the pill yeah, keeps you busy; but, 'for me" rather deal with the pill things...
