valve repair for bicuspid aortic stenosis ?

Obviously you will want the opinions of surgeons and your cardiologist. My cardiologist and surgeon explained that in today's time this surgery is becoming easier and easier . I had mine 3 years ago (may 2013) and was 31. There's a lot of variants that can come into play here and most situations...

Migraine triggered by heart rate with exercise

Sure, just make sure you are drinking plenty of water while taking a dose that high. You have to also remember just because you take 400mg does not mean your body is soaking up all 400mg of that. Some people it will some it won't. Most of it will be urinated out in most cases, but drinking...

    Dental clean after Valve Replacement

Have you ever found any evidence that says you do not suffer from permanent damage from one time use (even though in this sense I was talking about taking them every 6 months as the other person was quoting and it's not a site pushed by big pharm) so let's call it twice a year right ? I think...

    Dental clean after Valve Replacement

A one time dose every 6 months you mean ? I'm not necessarily arguing the fact you should or shouldn't take them before a regular cleaning but it's worth researching on how long it takes your gut to recover after a round of antibiotics saying that it doesn't leave permanent damage.

Should also be noted that you can obtain b2 naturally as well through most meats.

Migraine triggered by heart rate with exercise

So sad to see others suffer but I am very glad I found this thread. I don't know if I would consider mine migraines but I've found a direct correlation with working out and having a terrible headache THE NEXT MORNING. I've told 3 cardiologist and my general doctor (even have had a MRI to rule...

    Dental clean after Valve Replacement

I'm no expert and am not a big fan of taking antibiotics just because a doctor tells me (I'm in the USA). AB are so overused here it is sickening. I for one choose not to take antibiotics before my cleanings because I really feel like the research is not there. It's a very blanket statement...

    handstands... do them or no?...

Well I don't have a pacemaker and all of my echos have shown my valve is working perfectly. Thank you for the education and it's always good to talk to a fellow heart patient.

    handstands... do them or no?...

Very interesting about this nerve! I've never heard of this and I experience very much of what you say about feeling your HB more laying on one side compared to the other. Mine also is very profound when I take a deep breath. When I get to the top of the breath i have a very strong beat to the...

    Lowering Warfarin dosage through diet/supplements?

I take 16mg a day. My cardiologist says I'm one of the highest out of all his patients but the correlation between dosage and health is irrelevant. For some people it just simply takes more. I do hope there is another anti-coagulant in our near future. The calcification risk from warfarin...

    Cardiologist Against INR Meters

I got a similar reaction from my Dr. Angie. They just didn't have any patient that was currently doing in home monitoring according to them. They didn't really fuss about it they just acted like they knew nothing of them. So what we did was bring it with me the next 2 or 3 times I checked my INR...

How to Hear Your Mechanical Valve (if you want to)

I'll admit, when I first started researching on valve types, the st jude's valve scared me because of everyone talking about how loud it was. Now that I'm 7 months post surgery I can say that should be the least of anyone's worries. I'm 6'1 150lbs and I can feel my beats at almost all times and...

    Very high dosage

Very true and you hit on a lot of good points. Herbal remedies are no where near the exact science of a drug created in a lab, and believe me, I'm not someone who thinks all natural remedies are the way. It's just the thought of taking any drug over that period of time could have some adverse...
