About 7 years ago (around 2001) a prolapse on my mitral valve was noticed. No big deal at first, just had to take antibiotics for the teeth cleanings. In December of 2004 I developed endocarditis. A strep colony had taken up housekeeping on my mitral valve. It wasn't discovered until about February of 2005. By then the entire valve was gone. On May 12, Dr. Ball from St. Thomas Nashville installed a St. Jude valve. It's been ticking away ever since.

For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope .
Then when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you. When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart.
