    Adderall

Hi … long time since posting here. Before my AVR replacement in Dec 2013, I was taking Adderall for ADHD. I never really picked it back up & never really inquired about restarting it. I’m thinking of going that route again to see if it’s feasible. Any advice or experience from anyone? Thanks!

    9 months post-AVR ... chest still sore

I've laid low for a couple of days, just taking it easy ... seems to have subsided somewhat ... hopefully it was just a case of me overexerting myself ...

    9 months post-AVR ... chest still sore

Definitely not to the level of soreness that I experienced right after surgery ... at my last cardiology appointment in April, I was told that I don't have any restrictions. I'm thinking it might be a case of just overworking ... doing push-ups, holding 4 minute planks, etc ... I might just...

    9 months post-AVR ... chest still sore

Hi all ... I'm 9 months post-AVR & have been having a lot of soreness in my chest as of late ... granted, I've been active in doing push-ups, etc., but thought the soreness would have gone away by now ... anyone else still experience soreness like this?

When/How did you know your sternum had healed?

I do DDP Yoga pushups ... probably something similar ... lower for a 3, 5 or 10 count, hold for the same & repeat ... my chest is just now starting to not be sore afterwards, so I can tell I'm building that muscle back up ...

When/How did you know your sternum had healed?

I would definitely adhere to the 3 month rule ... I'm 6 months out & back to being able to do slow-burn pushups.

    push-ups, yoga, etc ...

I've been pretty successful with doing knee push-ups lately ... I feel the strength slowly coming back ... slowly.

4.5 Months after Aortic Valve Repair - Back to normal

Glad to see this post ... I'm about 4 1/2 months post-AVR as well & wondered if I'm pushing myself too hard in working out & such, but your post gave me a sense of relief.

    Sternum Popping

Thanks for the input everyone ... As far as normal, I meant is it normal to have that popping sensation 4 months after surgery ... there's really no pain involved with it, just kind of freaks me out a little I guess :) ... making sure that I'm not doing more harm than good. I'm sure a lot it...
