Hi Everyone,
I just got home Wednesdaay from the hospital and would like to share how I feel. Every day since the surgery is a 1000 times better than the day before. Now the degree of change is not as noticable as was early on, but I have to say I feel fantastic. My only chore is the breathing tools and today I am finally hitting over 2k on the scale, yesterday I walked about a half a mile and felt like walking 2 more times during the day but it got cold here so I am going to try 2-3 walks today, depending on what my body dictates. I feel absolutely no pain except if I cough.
I feel very lucky and blessed to have a chance to feel this way again. :)

So glad things are going so well- keep walking and each day will be an improvement!

Hey Ziff!

Sounds like you are enjoying a fantastic recovery. Keep up the good work, but be sure to get some rest time in as well. We post ops have so much to be thankful for this year at Thanksgiving. Wishing you continued success in the weeks ahead:)

Arnold,

Welcome Home :) :) :). Just eight days op? You are doing great! Thanksgiving will be extra special for you.

It's so good to see you enjoying an excellent recovery. How wonderful for you, for that's the way it should be. Just consider the marvelous future that you now have and all the energy you will have to enjoy that future. We are so happy for you. Please keep us posted as you continue your recovery.
With the kindest regards,
Blanche

Great to hear your recovery is going so well. Don't get too carried away with the walking. I would feel great the day I walked 2500 metres but I would pay for it the following days by feeling absolutely exhausted both physically and mentally.

Keep up the good work.

Chris:)

Hey Arnold. Glad it's behind you. You sound terriffic. You mentioned coughing hurts - if you think that does, then definitely DON'T sneeze. It's purely evil. We try to give everyone this advice. Trust us on this. Keep on getting better. Blessins........

Awesome news!! :) What valve did you go with? I must have missed that somewhere :)

Nice to hear of another good recovery.

What did you get done in the end, i think i recall you considering tissue vs mechanical, what did you end up with?

Hope my recovery is as uneventful....

Arnold - Glad to hear that all is going well for you! I am also curious as to what valve you chose. Let us know and keep up the good recovery!! Great to hear those good reports for us in the "waiting room".

Good Morning Everyone,
Thanks so much for the wishes. For those that asked my real name is Steve, but I took Arnold Ziffel's name when I considered the tissue valve. I had to keep my wits about me.
I remember after walking the second day and doubled my distance, that wiped me out for 2 days easy. I realize now to take it slow, but I do feel great for the most part. Today is my first post op dr visit, I am hoping all is well.

P.S. I had already been warned about the sneezing.

Awesome post!!!! So glad to hear that you are feeling so much better - best wishes for continued success!!

Take care and God bless!!
