I thought I would post before things get busy. Alician's surgery is Wednesday morning. They hope to repair the tricuspid valve, pulmonary valve, and close the hole in her heart. If her tricuspid valve is not repairable, she has decided on a tissue valve. She has read many of the posts on this site and you all have been a tremendous help to her. She did read the book The Open Heart Companion that was suggested and found it really helped her prepare for her surgery. This has been a truly valuable place to find information and support. I will post after her surgery to let you all know how she is doing. We are eager to begin this journey and get on the road to recovery and good health. Thanks to all who post here.

That's my wedding anniversary day, so everything has to go right!

We are going on the same day. I have already been told that all surgeries on this day are boring and mundane. I have also submitted the request for all patients on this day to get the no needle no knife surgery. I am not sure it will happen but it doesn't hurt to ask.:rolleyes:

Thanks for all of the well wishes and prayers. Alician especially liked mntbikers comments about no needles. She hates needles! We will be remembering you mntbiker on Wednesday, and will be waiting to hear of your successful surgery and recovery. Once again, thanks for your support.
