Ross (or anyone who knows how to make one), any chance we can get one of those buttons for the Google toolbar that brings us directly to the forum? A number of sites have them now, and I would like to see what it would take to get one for VR.com.

Look under the last post of a thread, there are 4 different deals(Bookmarks), google being one of them.
I have two buttons underneather my tool bar and one is for here.
I just open FireFox and click on my button that says vr.com and boom I'm here.
Its kinda like a short cut to advoid going to the bookmark drop down box.

I have it bookmarked under google toolbar as well. All I did was made sure I was on the main page and then i clicked on the blue star next to the word bookmarks on my google toolbar and there is was. Hope that helps.

Okay, I figured out how to do it.
1. Install the Google Toolbar
2. Go to the main page for VR.com (http://www.valvereplacement.com/forums/index.php)
3. Right click on the search box at the bottom of the page and select "Generate Custom Search..." from the menu that appears.
4. Click on "Add" and then "OK" in the Custom Button installation dialogs
5. That's it!

GRrrrrrr!!!!!...I must be computer illiterate....it isnt working for me...I am going to have to wait til my computer-wise son wakes up...LOL....what would we do without teemagers!?
How do to it........from Freddie's son:
- you MUST have the latest version of Firefox
- bring down (click on) your 'Bookmarks' and click on "Organize Bookmarks"
- find the site you want, then click and drag your web site to the Tool Bar Folder, which will be located near the top of the page
- Then your done...complete.....short cut key to valvereplavement.com

No you don't and I don't know why you guys can't use the google bookmark below these posts. It works just fine for me!
That method doesn't work on mine Ross. I have tried it with both IE and Firefox.
Aussie, My method should also work with IE. You must have the Google toolbar though. I'm not sure why it is not working for you.

Maybe I am mis-understanding what a "button" is...I am thinking it is going to be one of those little icons on my toolbar that says "VR.com" or similar...so I can just click that and be here! instead of having to do the drop-down menu thing....
Perry pirate...I am having issues with step 3...there is no search thing at the bottom of my page its in the toolbar and doesnt have the option you mention...yeah I know I am dumb when it comes to this stuff....thats what I have teenage sons for!...lol...
Computer-son is now going to do this for his mummy now PHEW!

I just went to the forums page, clicked favorites and added it. Now all I have to do is click on favorites on desktop and then click valvereplacements on that dropdown menu..... always done that - years and years. didn't know there was any other way.
