This web site has been a blessing from God. You have strenthed me and helped me to understand what is still to come. I will have my surgery on July 5, 7:15 am in Ft. Worth, TX at Medical Plaza Hospital. I have pre op Friday so I will look around and see the sights. The doctor perdicted a 5 to 7 day stay. Please continue to pray for me and my family. If any of you are from the Ft. Worth area and can come by to see me, my given name is Elizabeth Allen but I go by Susie, you might have to ask for both name. Thanks again for all your help. In His Love, Susie

Best wishes, Susie, for a successful surgery and smooth, uneventful, recovery. I look forward to hearing your update from the other side of the mountain. Enjoy your sightseeing around Ft Worth, and do some fun stuff.

All the best, post or have one of your family post for you afterwards. Just be the patient and let the docs do the rest, they will look after you.

hI Elizabeth ( that's my name, too). Wishing and praying for you next week. We will be watching for your news after your climb that mountain. Don't sneeze for about six months. Please let us hear from you when you get home. GODSPEED!

Susie, Positive thoughts and lots of prayers to you and yours! A little too far away to visit in person but you will be in my thoughts.
Peace!

Best wishes for your operation and recovery. Take the time needed in the hospital. There is no greater feeling than the first (gentle) hug after surgery from a loved one!

Susie:

Hope you don't have to get to the hospital by boat for your pre-op. I was on Lancaster yesterday, near University Drive, and saw a duck swimming -- ON THESIDEWALK. That's not terribly far from Medical Plaza.

There's a great Mexican restaurant on Magnolia, not far from 8th Avenue, called Benito's. It's very close to Medical Plaza. It's NOT your usual Tex-Mex.

Best wishes Sue for a successful surgery and uneventful recovery.

As for taking things to the hospital -- there are threads on this site from others who took suitcases full of things with them; however, I did not bring anything with me, and I did not need anything. Have confidence in your surgeon. Likewise, I am sure that your Fort Worth hospital staff handle OHS patients every day and know exactly what they are doing.

Stay in touch and let us know of your experiences.

Good luck, Susie. You will be on the recovery side before you know it!
