Starting a new week on this Tuesday morning -- cheers to all, and early wishes for a happy and safe Fourth of July.

We are into Independence Day weather here in the subtropics -- hot, humidity, occasional big storms providing a break.

Been enjoying Coastal Carolina U. take down a lot of big teams en route to finals of College World Series. Lost opener of final to Arizona last night, but it's best 2 of 3 so they still have a chance. No matter what, they have been amazing in reaching the final two in all of college baseball.

Usually walking once a day instead of two -- summer weather tough for an old guy to survive two-a-days.

Hope you all are well. Will find out results of DW's echo in visit to cardio tomorrow.

Cheers,

I'm still here. . . for now. I'm waiting for surgeon's office to call to schedule a consult for removing my failing pacemaker lead. My EP wants it done sooner than August, which is when the specialist originally proposed. Another roller coaster. . .

SB - hope the DW's echo turns out well, too. I just got a copy of the one the EP had me do last week, and I'd call it a good report - it says that there are no substantive differences from the TEE they did in 2011 a month after the valve was implanted.

Just Stayin' the Course (what else can one do?).

Staying the course in Houston. Avoiding sweets albeit with great difficulity.

More rain overhead. Hope my commute home doesn't slow down considerably as a result.

We could use some rain here is western PA. Those north and those south have plenty, but our garden wants rain. As for weight, the good news is that I have not gained any. The bad news is I have not lost any. I needs to up my activity and drink more water. Weed wacking for two hours, hand mowing for two hours, and sitting on a tractor for six hours a week is not doing it.

glad to hear from y'all. Coastal Carolina Chanticleers are College World Series champions -- wow! We do play some baseball here in the Palmetto State!

DW's echo and EKG were reasonably okay, but cardio is concerned about her low pulse rate -- wants her to wear a holter monitor for 24 hours. Thinking she might need a pacemaker.

I have a feeling my weight is not so well controlled -- hard to walk more than once a day in this humidity and heat, and we do more eating out than is healthy cause DW hardly feels like cooking and my cooking would kill us.

Take care all.....hope Independence Day is happy and safe for all.....

Cheers,

Superbob

When it's unbearably hot, about all I can eat are fruit and salads. Got lots of berries in my fridge. Are there any good salad bars in your area?

I'm glad you're being cautious about walking in the heat.
