Pneumonia update

Just thought I'd let folks know that Jerry has made a miraculous recovery in the past 36 hrs or so. We saw the dr on Tues as I reported on the previous thread, he upped the Levaquin from 500 mg to 750 and added Prednisone. By that evening he was remarkably better. The elevated temp is gone, his appetite is coming back, the cough is greatly diminished and he's now outside "doing stuff." Let's just hope he doesn't overdo stuff as he's prone to do. Also, I need to get on the phone and cancel the chest CT scan that was set up for this afternoon. The dr said it could be canceled if he had a turnaround.

I have been following this thread carefully since day one and this is wonderful news. Sometimes they have to use the big bombs to get the root killed. hope he keeps on getting better and better. blessins......
