I WILL attend the 2012 Monte Carlo Nationals, thanks to the generosity of Rob (Minnesota), who offered to pick me up. He will be here (Illinois) LATE Wednesday (06/27/2012) night (11p-ish); we should arrive in JOHNSON CITY TN ~2p Thursday w/his 1972 MC in tow. If you're in the area, stop by:

We just got home from Panama City Beach, and we're headed to Wisconsin two weeks from tomorrow.

It sure did! Course, I paid a price for it. And, yes, I'll post about the trip and that "price" in a bit.

We're leaving late Thursday pm, driving to Lincoln, IL and spending the night there. We'll drive the rest of the way on the 13th. Yep, we'll take !-39 till we get to Madison.
We'll start back on the 21st. We're spending the night in Rochelle, then finish the trip home up on Sunday. Any chance you could meet us in Rochelle that Saturday night?
Here's another thought . . . . drive up to our place and spend a few days with us. If you like to fish, or if you don't like to fish but want to go out in the boat, then it's a perfect retreat. It might be a five hour drive?

Possibly. However, Saturday night is cruise night in South Elgin ... and I TRY to be there when I can. Do you know where you will be staying in Rochelle? Probably best for you to call me later this week....

While that is a tempting offer, I have a friend from Pittsburgh that will be in town for work next week, and I'm not sure what his schedule will be as to when he will be able to meet up for dinner. Plus, my 6-month checkup is July 19. So, probably not such a good time for me to go up to WI. I appreciate the invite, though!

How late will you be up next Saturday, July 21? Rochelle is about an hour drive, I think. Depending on the weather and how many are at the cruise night, not sure what time I'd get to Rochelle.... Is the Holiday Inn off IL RT 38 (Lincoln Highway), or somewhere else in Rochelle?
