I had an extemely painful ingrown toenail right big toe. Finally broke down and saw a podiatrist. He asked me about my INR before the surgery.( they take a complete history) I told him 3.5 and go ahead. I had no bleeding problem and what a wonderful feeling to have a non-painful toe again. On my followup visit the podiatrist asked at what INR should he delay surgery? I said over 5.0! Any other ideas?

Marty,
I think you are right on.
Iv'e done the same thing a few times, including last year.
He just cut it out and then cauterized it with a laser, no real bleeding issues.

I just assume it was Silver Nitrate. I don't really know what they use, but it's effective.
