Dale, If you tell the nurses on triage that you are a heart patient and experiencing arrhythmia or other heart stress signs and symptoms the crash team should be on your case as soon as you finish speaking. I've never been made to wait when presenting at my local hospital in cardiac distress. The ER here takes heart emergencies very seriously, maybe because I live a 45 minute life-flight away from the nearest trauma hospital or maybe because the staff are trained in triage and heart symptoms are as highly prioritized as airway difficulties.Sorry to hear about your experience in emerg Harry -- and I hope that your blood pressure stays stable. No blowing a gasket!
Sometimes our Canadian emergs are like that and we just have to wait and/or be persistantly in their face. Looking after you is their job after all!
