Growing heart valves in a Lab

Saw this on the CBS Sunday morning show Easter Sunday (might be a message in that somewhere )...instantly recognized the aortic valve growing in a lab, but it was a sheep's heart valve. They can grow a human bladder already, how long before our own valves?

it will be soon that they can grow human valves in a lab! I am counting on it - hoping and praying that someday if/when I need a replacement valve (after my repair almost 5 years ago) that I will get a new tissue valve.

Wow - we live in a wonderful medical age that is for sure.

I know when I was "interviewing" heart surgeons, Dr. Gaudiani of S.F. spoke with me on the phone and told me that it will be within 10 years they will be growing tissue valves (he told me this in 2003). When I told my cardiologist in Colorado what Dr. G said, he scoffed.
