Today was another new begining for me. It is my 75th birthday and I ran for the first time since my pacemaker inplant five weeks ago. I have been power walking since two days post the inplant and it did a lot in helping me keep in somewhat of a decent condition. My effort today was six miles. I ran/walked the first mile (uphill) then ran the remaining five. I was able to pick up the pace a few times and like I have been doing lately walking, I pushed harder on the uphills. Weather was a perfect 52º with a bright sun and clear blue skies. This about ties my longest break in my 34 year running streak, the other was when I had my AVR 6 1/2 years ago. My only other comment is Thank You God for the life I have and the many people in it.
