So I asked an anti-vaxer at work if he was going to give in for the sake of the money but he said "No, I'm not selling my soul for a measely $200!". And when I tried to draw him into a serious discussion as to what his reasons were not to, it was the commonly heard misplaced concerns like "I've never had blood clots and I don't want any now either", "the vaccine does not even work, plenty of people have covid that got a vaccine", "the vaccine kills people", "I don't trust the government", and "it's all about the $$$, the gov't etc are all making tons of money on this & that is why they are pushing it".

My crackpot theory? It's like tugging on the thread of a sweater. Once you acknowledge that you have a responsibility to care for people who aren't like you, who are suffering from circumstances not under their control, so much of the rest of a particular political philosophy (and personal identity) starts to unravel.Since when did taking action to protect the most vulnerable among us become selling one's soul?
Err, which one, this one?View attachment 888016
Cos I don't want them on my island (Australia), we've got enough problems.
Great white shark? Donald...... intelligence?Donald didn't seem to have much of strength, nor Bill Gates, Albert Einstein, Rupert Murdoch...
So I'm voting intelligence, which I don't see in antivaxx arguments...

In hand to hand of course. However they are in decline because our species is killing them and destroying their habitat.Great white shark?
Well yes I did think of the fact that we are destroying them but also their run will surely end up being longer than ours. I mean if the environment is fairly stable for long period of time once an animal is adapted to it very well like they were/are there's not a lot of need to change. Also one could think it's pretty stupid that we're destroying their environment because we're actually destroying our own in the process. Although I realize you can have intelligence and still do stupid things. In hand to hand of course. However they are in decline because our species is killing them and destroying their habitat.
But not a good comparison IMO
Agreed but unless an employer cracks down because of higher premiums many people , talking about the United States specifically, don't actually pay for their premiums their employer does so they won't really feel it directlyHigher insurance premiums for the Covid-19 anti-vaxxers? It may become a reality and I hope it does. See article below.
I don't agree that it should be avoided as it could be a slippery slope. Insurance companies are allowed to charge smokers up to 50% more and this has not proven a slippery slope. Also, reckless drivers must pay more for auto insurance. It is only fair. Those who choose to follow misinformation and avoid the vaccine end up costing the rest of us thousands in increased premiums. It should be passed on to them.
" The Affordable Care Act allows insurers to charge smokers up to 50 percent more than what nonsmokers pay for some types of health plans. "

It will also help with getting compliance for the apathetic. A free lottery ticket will just not be enough incentive for some folks. But, pass on to them the true cost of their apathy, possibly a few thousand in extra premiums per year, and you will get those folks off the couch.
even if they go extinct right now, yes ...but also their run will surely end up being longer than ours

Sounds properly mysterious. High-powered lawyers or mean looking guys in dark classes?even if they go extinct right now, yes ...
a friend of mine did his PhD in the root causes of this, but I can not say anything about his dissertation because I've been told I can't mention relxxxon
Yeah I guess that's true, I occasionally forget I'm in that minority where my employer pays the whole nutCountry-wide, employers only pick up about 2/3rds of an employee's health care premiums, so some of the costs will trickle down. My guess is that the modern legal environment will mean that private insurance companies won't charge higher rates for non-vaxxers, they'll offer discounts for vaxxing, which is somehow completely different because reasons.
Medicare/Medicaid is going to be screwed though.
administrators here have more power in this virtual world than either of those two.Sounds properly mysterious. High-powered lawyers or mean looking guys in dark classes?

I'm always aware of this point:
yes, in an argument started by bikeWanker in my absence defending me. He got banned because he (being a genuine but unsophisticated guy) allowed bikeWanker to bait him up.I remember that guy posting out here. I guess he got canceled?
