I am surprised that he has canceled the cath. it was explained to me that the cath was to ensure that the blood vessels around the heart were not clogged. They did not want to get into my chest and find out then that I would need by pass' also. Thankfully I did not but without the cath they would not have known that I did not need a bypass. As far as I know an echo will not give them the information needed to make this determination.
I would be asking him about this and why he does not think the cath is needed.
