Dear valvers,

I went to my cardio today and the ECG showed a slightly prolonged PR interval, which in healthy individuals should be < 0.2 sec in duration. According to my cardio it was bordering on the first degree AV block but nothing to worry about yet. I'll undergo a Holter test soon to see other abnormalities are present.

What are your thoughts and experiences on possible conduction delays after AVR?

Best wishes,

Dustin, he is right. First degree heart blocks are the least worrisome of any conduction abnormality. Some medications can even contribute to it. A little scar tissue on the right side of the heart might as well.
