Just had my 22 year anniversary with the replacement of my aortic valve with St. Judes first valve model. Other than the inconvience of taking blood thinner and having a monthly test life is a blessing.

Fantastic!!

Thanks for hopping on board to say hello.

Congratulations and please stick around! We're a nice bunch!! Would love to hear more about your experience -- if you can even remember back that far!! Wow!!

Blood thinner? Blasphemy. It's anticoagulant here. :D

By chance, do you home test? If not, have you considered it?

Hey..wow 22 years, what an achievement! Well done.
Mine is 21 years in April and yes still taking coumadin...and monthly blood tests and yes I agree with you, life is a blessing... considering I have two anuerysms as well.

Congratulations on 22 years and many more to come.
I'm only heading to my 14th so I am just a beginner.
