Hi there,

It has been 6-months today since I had my AVR and I feel pretty darn good. VR.com was an absolute godsend when I was making my mind up about how to proceed regarding this major life event. Members here helped me figure out what valve to get, what to bring to the hospital and what to expect in terms of recover for me and my loved ones.

Thanks so very much!

Good to hear from you, and really good to hear well you are doing.

I had just found out that my AVR need to be sooner than we had thought when your surgery was imminent, so remember your forum name well and was glad to see the heading for this post.

Good to hear ur on the road to recovery!! I'm at 5 weeks now and getting better. This site really comforted me when i got home from my surgery. Had so many questions and confused about everything.
