Well, its the 18th June to-day. This time last year I was in the operating theatre with a competent surgeon and his supervisor from above looking after me. The end story was 2 shiny new st jude valves. I must say I feel good a year on. I was a frightened little pup back then, but to assure anyone facing surgery, its not as bad as you think.I saw my cardio a few days ago. he said everything is fine. 6 monthly visits and an echo every 2 years is what he ordered.
I am very thankful for my recovery,I now appreciate things a lot more, I am a little more patient with my grown up family, and I smell the roses often.
Cannot finish off without saying thanks to everyone on VR.com. I could not have gone into surgery as informed as I was without all of you.
