tennis anyone?

My husband is 3 weeks AVR post-op and beginning to wonder how long it will take to get back on the courts. He is a competitive 49 year old player (4.5 singles).

Our initial thoughts are beginning with doubles and playing with me (ha), then working his way up through our children. Then on to all those who have said they want to play him before he is 100%!

Any other serious players out there with suggestions? And how long did it take to get back up to your previous level?

6 weeks minimum and could go much longer. It just depends on his recovery.

Serious tennis playing would put lots of stress on the sternum and chest muscles.....

Dick was told three months and stuck to it.

He was right back at it- playing golf and biking as well. He started biking at about 8 weeks. Up until then he walked, mile upon mile daily.
