Howdy all my Canuck friends up there..:biggrin2:

We've booked the flights and got the tickets......now where the heck is Orillia..:confused2:

Any of y'all have any hotel recommendations? Fogerty is at the Casino Rama in Orillia, but we'll be roaming around for a week, so any hints as what to do? Fishing?? We like small boutique type hotels, so if any of y'all know some -- please pass it along.:wink2:

NOW why didn't you come to the Philly area when he was here last year, it was at a nice small 3000 seat place, (Justin could have even gotten you in lol)

Now how did I miss that?!?! This venue is also rather small at 5K seats, but I'd much rather had the chance to meet Justin..:wink2:

Lyn - If Neil Young comes around.......hollar and we'll be there..!!

Orillia is almost 2 hours North of Toronto - guess you'll just to Google it, cause I don't know nothing about that area.

Have and Good Luck

I have travelled extensivley in the area both on business and for pleasure but have never been to Rama ...lots to see and do in the area and by mid September the beauty of the fall colours will be breathtaking. There is in Midland the Martyrs Shrine and a native village. Barrie is also just next door both at the top of Lake Simcoe.
You are about 1.5 hrs north of Toronto with about a months worth of activities there ...other than John Fogerty what are your interests?

Oh my gosh...!!!

Oh my gosh...!!!

I had no idea the area was so lovely..! I have found a charming B&B online and will book it. And just look at this bakery.... http://www.mariposamarket.ca/index.php?action=display&cat=1 where we gotta try the Muskoka Berry Pie. I've never heard of it, but it can't have that many calories, can it....:angel:

Thanks Greg for your help! We missed the fall foliage a few years ago when it arrived rather late up the eastern coastline to Nova Scotia, but maybe this time we can see it from the car window..!!

Two nice lakes in the area too..! Lake Simcoe and Lake Couchiching. Man, I can't pronounce that one.:eek2:

Right across from the market catch a lunch Cruise on the day of your show (note online voucher) http://www.obcruise.com/index.php?c=Schedules&week=2010-W37&source=#Schedule

I've been reading up on info for the area and it just looks so stunning during the fall. Also Greg, the Titanic artifact exhibition sounds so interesting. We actually saw a builder's model of the Titanic at the Merseyside Maritime Museum in Liverpool along with a few artifacts. It was eerie, but so very interesting.

I can already tell this is going to be a return trip for us since a week isn't even enough to get your feet wet..!

Ok, Mary -- let's find Neil Young, so we can check that off our 'bucket list'..:biggrin2:

I can't believe how many of our members live in Ontario.......gotta be an ideal place to live..!!
