Hi.
I was told that I was to stay away from Sushimi and any raw seafood for six months after my operation.

It is now almost seven months, but since I forgot why I wasn't allowed to eat it, I'm a bit paranoid about enjoying it.

Does anyone know when it is safe and why it wasn't before?

hi kevin!
no one told joey to refrain from eating sushi. now you've got me worried! we love sushi and although we don't eat it that often, joey has eaten it (he's only 4 months plus post surgery)! he seems to feel fine, so i'm not that nervous, but if anyone knows more about this i'm anxious to hear about it too...
thanks for this posting. hope you're doing well,
sylvia

Maybe avoidance of sushi has something to do with the bacteria possibilities in the raw stuff.

It would be best to wait and be safe.

Also maybe they want you to stay away from too much sodium for a while.
