What's up with the forums?

I posted in the pre-surgery forum a couple of hours ago and my post went to the bottom of the list. Weird.

All the posts are marked unread even the ones I've read. Weird again.

Then I tried to send a pm and I got the following error:

That's almost 9 years

Have I done something wrong?
