Hey all,

I feel it only right to talk to those who are sitting on the couch and not exercising. I have great news, walking is the cheapest exercise there is. You do not have to join a gym to walk. Walk around the block, a track, in a mal, whereever. And you do lose weight. I have lost 60 pounds since April in doing the walking. I am doing quite well, trying to change eating habits and all. Get a treadmill and walk indoors. Just to share with all. Take care.

hi caroline!
great news!!! i know there are many "die-hard worker-outers" on this site, but i think any form of exercise is to be commended after going through this surgery. it shows that you want to take care of your body and keep it as fit as you can.
whether walking, running, biking, or just plain old "moving your blood around" on a regular basis, i'm all for it.
takes discipline as well. keep up the good work; you should be proud of yourself!
all the best, sylvia

So very true, Caroline.

I _try_ to walk a bit every day, but sometimes the workload gets too much and I don't have the time :(.

But, normally, I walk around the office building...takes about 10-15 minutes...so, it's not much...but I'm told every little bit helps...LOL!

Peace...always,

I'm a walker too.

I have several safe parks to walk around till the weather gets bad, and then it inside on the treadmill.

Congrat on the weight loss.:)

I agree. I do brisk walk for 1 hour every day ( approx 5 Km) in the morning. I feel really good. We have an excellent park nearby and I do 5 rounds of the park every day 6am to 7am.

Although Walking has raised my Warfarin dose to an additional 1 mg (+ 30% ) but that doesn't bother me.
