triple procedure

My doctor says I need an aortic valve ( pig ) a dacron graft aorta closest to the heart . Plus an endarterectomy ( 85% blocked ) on my right side . 72 yo male - still strong as a bull - extremely nervous. Any advice or comments welcome . Is this too much all at the same time . Doc says around 4 hr.

Welcome to the forum. I assume this is your first heart surgery and, unless there are other circumstances, doing all three "fixes" at the same time should not be a problem. I used to visit post heart surgery patients in the hospital and many had had multiple corrective procedures done. Probably a good idea to correct as much as possible without going thru the chest multiple times. Stick around this forum, it can help take a lot of the mystery out of heart surgery.
