Well if I may take a moment to say that I've been doing a little travel (from Finland, which itself is travel from Australia) and I have come to Prague.

My INR is up a little as I've been drinking about 2L of beer most nights (which at $2 per liter at the night club down stairs is worthy investment) [IMG2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"https:\/\/scontent-frt3-1.xx.fbcdn.net\/v\/t31.0-8\/fr\/cp0\/e15\/q65\/17389247_10155108377242498_4580471038627767811_o.jpg?efg=eyJpIjoidCJ9&oh=9fa6db9f145756f2b6e3949d531d6e5e&oe=5973D86A"}[/IMG2]

The sights are great and having the ability to remain a mobile normal human makes me feel better [IMG2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"https:\/\/scontent-frt3-1.xx.fbcdn.net\/v\/t31.0-8\/fr\/cp0\/e15\/q65\/17349872_10155101931047498_7905652836418969291_o.jpg?efg=eyJpIjoidCJ9&oh=993e780d1b0d57c6884fdc678c73dd3f&oe=596DBA63"}[/IMG2]

For the historically inclined the Sedlec Ossuary is not to be missed (at kunta hora, just out of Prague, take a bus

seems I will miss Gym Guy by a week (he's heading in from DC)

Great photos !

Love the one from the ossuary. There are only two ossuaries in England, one is at a small church in Hythe which we went to, fascinating. Most of the bones are from the middle ages but they think the Victorians arranged them in piles for display.

a bus that is pedal powered (which as the riders are drinking beer one could say is a biofuel powered bus). Sunsets are perhaps less spectacular than Australia, but nice.

As always, if the opportunity presents itself to go where I shouldn't I do [IMG2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"https:\/\/scontent-fra3-1.xx.fbcdn.net\/v\/t31.0-8\/fr\/cp0\/e15\/q65\/17359280_10155105819082498_5101260487584027451_o.jpg?efg=eyJpIjoidCJ9&oh=15b3cf457dafa3b2ce472591b66e2688&oe=5928CCB1"}[/IMG2]

As mentioned earlier there is a cultural habit to rub statues and plaques for luck. This one seems to have had some attention...

Some great photos Pellicle - thanks for sharing.

Prague is a wonderful city, though a lot of grey, communist-style apartment blocks in the suburbs. And some of their coins are huge!

This week I had to go to my anti-coagulation clinic for a routine six-monthly calibration check of my CoaguChek XS. It reminded me what an inconvenience it is to take over 2 hours out of my working day to get to the clinic for a 5 minute job. All was fine of course, and much though the staff are friendly and helpful, I am glad that I can test when and where I want, and won't be going back to the clinic for another 6 months unless I have some sort of problem, which I don't expect.

My next trip will be to Athens and a Greek island or two I think.
