My 14 year old granddaughter was talking about someone this weekend and said, hes like really old, 40 I think. I said Kayelin thanks alot, how old do you think I am and she said but you're Mawmaw. Whatever that meant. I am 58 and do not feel old and I had lots of fun being in Calif. in the 70s and 80s and lots of fun now growing old in Georgia.
I agree with Cooker that age is relative, but cannot deny that this hit me at 58 not 50!!lucky me BUT, symptoms started at 50 and I started from time to time ask myself: what happened? was my life a dream or a movie I watched!?
YET, deep down I feel in my 30s
I must admit age has not really bothered me until just recently. I will be 58 in a few months. I don't feel much different. The big 50 certainly was no problem. I guess it's the idea that after this upcoming birthday, I'll be (60!) in only two years! I am starting to show my age, and I'm thinking, WHERE IN THE WORLD DID THE TIME GO!! More than half your life is over with. People tell me the older you get the faster the time goes! (or so it seems) Lately, it's kind of scarey, just how fast the time is going! Oh well, please don't mind my rambling. It's something we all have to come to terms with, in our own way.
