I’m sad that you’re not going to be around Superbob. ‘Throwdowns’ is such a good thread where we can talk abut things other than specifically heart issues. As Seaton wrote, hope to see you back here, and soon. Wishing you well !

Superbob , very sad reading your post. I agree with Anne that I view this thread as a place to share concerns other than weight loss. For example, when the news came about the Santa Fe HS shootings, I wanted to come here and share that this school is less than 20 miles from me and express my grief. I knew my friends here would be sympathetic. Ultimately I decided not to add that topic to this discussion but my point is that coming here was my first thought when I was feeling down.

I will I’ll give some thought to taking over if no one else steps forward, though the best course of action IMO opinion is for SB to continue to inspire us.

Wow! Superbob you should know how much I appreciate your contributions here and you will be sorely missed by this girl. :(

Staying the course has given me so many things to think about as everyone works on their own and then shares here. I also do enjoy getting a glimpse into the lives of others here. OK so sometimes I do chuckle also. Just knowing others are going through what life throws at us is a comfort.

I always think if you can plank Superbob, I can get up and get going. I will miss hearing about little league, jobs, doctor appointments, people running relays, and most of all the ups and downs as we all work on our weight and staying with it through some real trying times.

There is plenty of room on this board for all that other stuff that probably needs reading but should also be taken with a grain of salt since there are no doctors posting. Yes, I know it is about the heart valve but there is so much more(personal opinion ymmv)

I don't post much anymore but will tell you that in dealing with my liver, that now has a hole and shunt in it, there are some direct connections between high cholesterol and high triglycerides(of which I have neither but many heart patients do) My docs say I have a full load between my INR, gastric bleeds, and two kinds of specialists trying to work around each other to keep me a going. You, Superbob, and several others here have truly helped me.

What can I say.......you will be missed. Take care and order a couple more tee shirts. Never.....never ever.....give up and keep that sense of humor.

Wow HB, I felt exactly the same way, in my most recent post. I was going to write how sad I felt when I found out
my wonderful lipidologist had a lung tumour. I decided to leave it out, because I didn't think it was relevant.

Busy week and just read through the posts. Sorry to hear SB is taking some time off. Hope you come back soon.
Weight is pretty constant, nothing gained or lost lately. And still not doing much walking during the week so miles are lower than I would like.
Plan to buy some new running shoes this week. One cause of PF is running in worn out shoes. There are outlets on my drive home and I'll stop by on the way home. I also need some new inserts.
Still getting a little rain here in Southern California. Much needed. Was misting at the start of this morning's walk. Hope it helps with the fire season this summer. Martin
