Today marks my 6 month anniversary. It is hard to believe this very minute of the day I was being prepped for surgery. It seems like a distant surreal dream
I feel blessed that I found out about it. I was fortunate in whom my cardiologist, surgeon and hospital were.
Other than taking Coumadin, Metaprolol and Ramipril… life has returned to complete normalcy.
No ill effects from these required heart medications. My scar is rapidly fading.
Thanks, to everyone on this forum for sharing and helping me make my valve choice and recovery from surgery.
For those in the waiting room.....normal life can return very rapidly!

I'm glad you're doing so well, but trust me, it gets even better! Thanks for coming back to let all of us know how you're doing -- it does wonders for those still in The Waiting Room to know that there really is a return to your normal life, and it doesn't usually take long to get there.
