Recumbent Stress Test

Has anyone ever done one of these as opposed to the usual treadmill stress test?

My step son had a “bike” test, but it was not on a recumbent bike, but on a typical stationary bike. It involved having the EKG stickers and full breathing monitoring machinery. Is this what you are talking about?

Probably some form of it. A recumbent bike is one of those low to the ground. My cardio wants to change things
up. He knows I cycle. I'm intrigued. I'm calling the manager of cardio imaging at my hospital tomorrow for some tips.

Sorry, I’m not going to be much help on the recumbent bike test other than my step son “had” it. Unfortunately he couldn’t get his heart rate up high enough to perform the test, so I didn’t bother finding out the details of the results of the test compared to a regular stress test, etc... For us, the fact he couldn’t elevate his heart rate was enough information to tell us he needed the surgery ASAP!
