I used some of that styptic powder we bought for the dogs' nails to stuff into a cut I managed to inflict on my left forearm a little over a month ago. It stung a bit but it worked great

I bought one of these about 5 years ago and used it once. It stings! I'd rather bleed.

I use a regular razor and I haven't had any issues.

It does sting but it was either use the powder or go get professional medical attention as in stitches. I was on a schedule and seeing that I'm an amateur dingbat I went with the former.
