Questions re: progression of ascending aortic aneurysm

I decided to be a bit more forceful during last Friday’s cardio consult. All previous consults I’ve been getting the don’t lift more than 10 - 20 lbs advice. I said look I tried that and my strength was getting less and less so that stuff that felt light before was feeling heavier and heavier increasing the risk of straining with previous common tasks.

I then said I’d started sensible “high rep” (15 - 20) weight training ensuring I didn’t hold my breath and stopping short of straining (generally just prior to form beginning to deteriorate). His response was that’s ok but no straining and don’t go trying to lift 200 - 300 pounds. I assume he was part joking.
