MIDDLETOWN
Investigators used the data from a Middletown man’s pacemaker to help get an indictment in a fire that caused about $400,000 in damages.
Ross Compton, 59, has been indicted on felony charges of aggravated arson and insurance fraud for allegedly starting the fire on Sept. 19 at his Court Donegal hous

so, take your PM out before you do any "dodgy deeds"

Must have been an interesting case. They can't get much detailed information from a pacemaker these days. Just mode, heart rate, stuff like that. They probably concluded that his heart rate did not go up enough to support the claimed level of effort.

I think I'd be more worried about the OBD-II dongles the auto insurance companies offer policy holders, with the enticement that they might qualify for rate discounts. Whether they grant a discount of not, the full history of when, where and how the vehicle is driven goes to the insurance company. I don't want them to know any of that. . .
