Had a TAVR aortic valve replacement around three months ago. When I went for my after-surgery appointment the doctor said my new valve was not working right (regurgitating more blood than it should). So he recently did a TEE procedure to try to discover why this happened since apparently this had not occurred in any of his other patients. I had the TEE which the doctor says showed that the new valve had repaired itself. Has anyone experienced a similar situation?

TAVRs still pretty “new” so I guess the way the outside mesh cage expands and seals could have had paravalvular leakage but now does not.
TEE or trans esophageal echo is from what I understand is the best look at things as they dont have the ribs in the way clouding the picture, so I’d be satisfied if they say its good then it is.
