New member here. Have stable moderate BAV. It’s been moderate for 7 years but now I have a 4.0 AA. I’m 32 years old—my cardio at Cleveland Clinic said it would still likely be very long until surgery. He guessed between 10-20 years.

Does that rate of progression sound right to you guys? Trying to stay optimistic. Is this TAVR/minimally invasive stuff as close to being common as my cardio suggests? He thinks by the time I’m up, it’ll extend to patients like me.

rate of progression is both unpredictable (within bounds) and non linear ... so yeah

No need to stay optimistic, compared to if you were born only 30 years ago the options and outcomes today are stellar.

Its all good, although personally I wouldn't want to to the minimially invasive or TAVR till its well proven. I've had 3 OHS now and the first two lasted about 20 years each, lets see how long the 3rd lasts (its over 8 years ago now).
