Can someone with a mechanical valve can work as an MRI Tech? I am looking for a career change.

I doubt a technician gets in the MRI machine, but when I've had MRIs the technician is in a separate room when the machine is actually working. the modern valves are pyrolytic carbon not metal and so shouldn't be any issue. I've had MRI's with my valve so I am exposed to more magnetism than you as a tech. They are just magnets right. I would think you'd be totally fine. Ask at a school of medicine, they should be able to give you the definitive answer.
